Atelier I
During this Atelier project, I created two outfits based on experimenting and handwork, in contrast to working with a concept like I did in previous projects. This is the first outfit. I found inspiration by experimenting with embroidery and weaving techniques. This projects foundation is craftsmanship and recycling.
The shirt has been printed with a homemade, lasercut stamp. By using a stamp on the smooth fabric, an interesting texture is achieved. I added a zoom-out and gathered version of an embroidery technique that is used to mend clothes to enhance this texture even more.
